Giving Alpinism a try
At the motor skills playground, children can discover elements integral to mountaineering: They’ll put their sense of balance to the test on the climbing net between two hiking poles, overcome their fear at the ice axe and experience their first dizzying adventure on the bridge between the climbing rocks.
Nature’s obstacle course on Hochjoch Adventure Mountain
Balancing is not just enjoyable; it also promotes agility and surefootedness. Wobbly stones mimic unstable ground, replicating the conditions you might encounter when hiking. Timber footholds and tree stumps encourage you to hone your own body awareness. And nets and ropes can be used as “climbing aids” in steep terrain.
Forces of Nature trail
On the Forces of Nature Trail, you can learn all about the mountain elements in a way that is both enjoyable and memorable, helping you better recollect what you have learned. During the one-hour walk, you can simulate mountain storms on wind towers and build stone cairns with your bare hands. A highlight for all the family, and this child-friendly trail is also suitable for prams and pushchairs!
The lake biotope on Hochjoch
Water is a fascinating element to discover and play with but also a welcome source of strength and rejuvenation. The lake biotope on Hochjoch features various elements to play with and while away the hours. Children can shoot water fountains into the sky, propel rafts using wave pumps and explore new sensory experiences on the barefoot path.
By the way: The lake biotope is also one of the educational stations of the unique themed trails on Hochjoch.
