Silvretta Montafon: an excellent training organisation
The “Ausgezeichneter Lehrbetrieb” (“Excellent Apprenticeship Organisation”) initiative recognises companies that uphold exceptional standards in apprenticeship training. Transparent entry and evaluation criteria ensure an objective assessment.
This award reaffirms that apprentices receive high-quality training and gain advantages for their future careers at Silvretta Montafon. Examples include informed decisions when selecting apprenticeships and additional opportunities for further training.
The Silvretta Montafon ski resort was named test winner 2024 in the "5-star ski resort" category by Skiresort.de, the world's largest test portal for ski resorts.
In 2024, the world's largest ski resort test portal honors the best ski resorts worldwide and the best services provided by ski resorts. Since 1998, ski and snowboard fans, as well as the ski resorts themselves, have regarded the annual Test Winner awards as the most important industry award.
SnowTrex customers have recognized Silvretta Montafon as one of the most popular ski resorts of 2024.

Top Freeride Resort
This winter, Schneehoehen.de/.at/.ch once again honored the most popular ski resorts as part of the “Top Ski Resort Award.” Around 40,000 winter sports enthusiasts voted for the 2025/26 season, choosing their favorites from more than 850 ski resorts.
The result speaks for itself: Silvretta Montafon is once again among the top destinations in the Alps, achieving an excellent 2nd place in the “Best Freeride Resort” category.
TOP for familys
As the largest ski resort in Vorarlberg, Silvretta Montafon offers a particularly diverse range of family-friendly experiences across 140 kilometers of slopes. Several children’s areas, family parks, cross tracks, and the “Kids on Ski” program—which provides free ski lessons and equipment for the youngest guests—make it an ideal destination for families with children.
ALC Inclusion Award
On Tuesday, October 7, the awards for Austria’s Leading Companies (ALC Award) were presented in Bregenz.
We are proud to announce that Silvretta Montafon Bergbahnen GmbH was honored this year with the Inclusion Award—a special prize recognizing outstanding achievements in integrating people with disabilities into the workplace. Peter Marko and Joachim Rippl, who is now enjoying his well-deserved retirement but previously served for 18 years as a dedicated mentor and supervisor for an employee with a disability, accepted the award on behalf of the entire SiMo team, for whom inclusion is a natural part of everyday life.

Vorarlberg Innovation Award for Silvretta Montafon
At the Vorarlberg Tourism Forum, the region’s tourism innovations are traditionally presented and celebrated. Projects submitted showcase creativity and ingenuity, embodying the values of the “Vorarlberg” brand and highlighting its innovative spirit.
Award winners are chosen by an expert jury. Silvretta Montafon was honoured with one of the three main prizes for its “Freeride Hotspot Silvretta Montafon” concept. This concept encompasses a comprehensive and coherent selection of courses and flexible infrastructure. It also includes technique training for varying skill levels, safety training, guided tours and freeride safaris.
The Freeride Center offers essential services such as weather and snow condition updates, avalanche equipment rental, advice and valuable tips. It also features a dedicated avalanche training area and equipment checks at various lift stations. The concept is complemented by numerous high-calibre freeride events.
