Silvretta Montafon heralds the season finale

10,000 enthusiastic visitors at the Gabalier concert

At the start of the Silvretta Montafon season finale, there was once again a crowd favourite to experience live this year: Andreas Gabalier LIVE

Schruns (A). At the start of the Silvretta Montafon season finale, there was once again a crowd favourite to experience live this year: Last Saturday, 1 April, Andreas Gabalier performed in front of around 10,000 visitors. The popular Vorarlberg band The Monroes performed as the opening act. The now legendary open-air event at the Valisera cable car mountain station created a great atmosphere among the guests. The ski area is still open until the middle of the month: On Saturday 15 April, the ‘Forever 80s Party’ will take place in the Nova Stoba at the end of the season, with the best outfit being awarded a Montafon Brandnertal annual pass.

For the fourth time, Austrian folk rock'n'roller Andreas Gabalier gave a completely sold-out concert to kick off the season finale in Silvretta Montafon on Saturday, 1 April. Around 10,000 visitors celebrated at the Valisera cable car mountain station. The Vorarlberg band The Monroes were the opening act. ‘We are delighted that we were able to ring in the start of the season finale like “in the old days” this year. The atmosphere on site was sensational - the audience was completely happy. It was also great that the weather played along so well at the finale, with snowfall and light sunshine. My thanks go to our team, who once again put on a top event for which we are now known far beyond Vorarlberg's borders,’ emphasised Peter Marko, Managing Director of Silvretta Montafon. Andreas Gabalier himself was also delighted. ‘It is always a special experience for me to play in front of this impressive mountain backdrop and in front of this fantastic audience,’ said the artist.

Winter season ends in mid-April with 80s party: annual pass to be won The winter season in Silvretta Montafon continues until the middle of the month. For winter sports enthusiasts, the slopes of the ski area are open until Sunday 16 April. The crowning glory of the season is the Forever 80s Party on 15 April in the Nova Stoba. ‘With the “Forever 80s Party”, we want to celebrate the end of the winter season in style and at the same time celebrate the 80s. We're looking forward to guests wearing stylish outfits and dusty, long skis - just like it used to be back then,’ says Thomas Ettenberger, Head of Marketing at Silvretta Montafon, explaining the party's motto. From 12 noon, DJ Sebastian Bronk will be playing hits from the 80s in the Nova Stoba. ‘Songs such as 99 Luftballons, Bruttosozialprodukt or Eye of the Tiger invite you to dance and from 3.30 pm there will even be a prize for the best 80s outfit. The main prize is a Montafon Brandnertal annual pass. So it's worth taking part,’ concludes Ettenberger. Entry to the party is free.
