The easiest and cleanest way to skiing fun Silvretta Montafon and VVV now present a lift pass and public transport ticket in one

Green Ticket

The easiest and cleanest way to skiing fun: Silvretta Montafon and VVV present a new lift pass and public transport ticket in one.

With the start of the 2020/2021 ski season on 24 December, Verkehrsverbund Vorarlberg (VVV) and Silvretta Montafon are offering their ski guests an environmentally friendly and convenient way to travel to and from the resort. Ski guests can purchase the Green Ticket online and receive a combination of a day ski pass for the Silvretta Montafon ski area and a ticket for travelling to and from the resort by bus and train.

"The Green Ticket makes travelling to the mountains quick, practical and, above all, environmentally friendly and also offers other unbeatable advantages," say Christian Hillbrand, Managing Director of the Vorarlberg Transport Association and the Managing Directors of Silvretta Montafon Peter Marko and Martin Oberhammer.
The Green Ticket is valid for travelling by bus and train from anywhere in Vorarlberg and from the border stations in Tyrol (St. Anton), Germany (Lindau) and Switzerland (Buchs/St. Margrethen), including the outward journey. "Travelling to Silvretta Montafon by bus and train is the alternative to the car - without traffic jams and searching for a parking space. Skiers can travel from home to the valley station by public transport," explains Hillbrand. Since the timetable change on 13 December 2020, passengers from the Unterland to the Montafon no longer have to change trains in Bludenz on working days except Saturdays on two thirds of the routes and can travel directly from Lindau to Schruns. "It couldn't be quicker or more convenient."

Available in the Silvretta Montafon webshop

Marko and Oberhammer add that those who purchase their Green Ticket in the Silvretta Montafon webshop at www.silvrettamontafon.at/de/onlineshop no longer have to queue at the cable car ticket office. With the help of the Green Ticket, ski guests can print out their day ticket directly and contactlessly at the PICK UP Box at Schruns station. "In addition, all guests with their Green Ticket (lift ticket) receive a ten per cent discount on rental equipment or one free ski wax at Intersport Montafon." The Green Ticket is available for 34.20 euros (children), 57 euros (seniors), 59.50 euros (adults) in the webshop.

How it works

  • Buy your Green Ticket in the Silvretta Montafon webshop.
  • You will receive a voucher.
  • Have the voucher ready on the bus and train when travelling to Schruns - it is your ticket.
  • Scan the QR code on your voucher directly at the PICK UP BOX at Schruns station and you will receive your Silvretta Montafon day ticket. Of course, you can also redeem the voucher at a Silvretta Montafon mountain railway ticket office.
  • At Intersport you can then use your Green Ticket (lift ticket) to pick up your discounted rental equipment or have your skis waxed before or after skiing.
  • Now it's off to the mountain - enjoy your day of skiing!
