Route description for the Burg via ferrata
To reach the start of the Burg via ferrata, follow hiking trail no. 10 “Gipfelweg Madrisella” from the Versettla Bahn mountain station for approximately 15 minutes. Then, take a right turn towards the summit, following the path that winds its way up near the avalanche blasting pylons.
The Burg via ferrata is well-suited for families and beginners looking to practice belay techniques. The route leads along the ridge for a few metres with a gentle incline. You’ll be treated to stunning views of Heimspitze, Madrisella and Versettlaspitze, while the 3,000-metre peaks of the Silvretta range are visible in the background.
From the exit point, you can reach the Versettla Bahn mountain station in just over 30 minutes. After your climb, be sure to take a well-deserved break on Nova Stoba’s sundeck!
Please note: The Burg via ferrata can also be climbed in winter, but this is only recommended for experienced winter via ferrata climbers (difficulty level C).
